ENERNET Corporation's General Purpose Control is a compact, multi-channel signal acquisition, processor and switch module housed in a molded plastic enclosure. Ideal in compressor control applications, it contains a Cypress Neuron making it LonWorks® capable; operating firmware evaluates a number of analog and status input signals and implements a series of Form A contact closures as outputs. The module has two isolated, line-voltage status inputs (ON/OFF) to detect switched sensors. Five other low voltage (0-5V) analog inputs can accept most process sensors; strain gauge, pressure, temperature, 4-20 mA current loop (et al.). Analog resolution is 10 bits or, optionally, 12 bits. Sensors can be powered with on-board 5 volt supply.

Two banks of solid state relays are capable of a combined load of 5
amperes maximum at 120 or 240 VAC. The bank feature permits simple
connection of safety (or other) switches in series with a controlled
load (e.g. temperature or pressure safety switch). Each relay has an
associated status lamp. The module is compatible with FT-10 LonWorks®
networks.
